The 50th Anniversary Campaign: What Free Data Is Available
According to announcements carried by Emirates News Agency, the telecommunications group marks fifty years of operations since its founding in 1976 with nationwide celebrations as of October 2026. To thank long-standing subscribers, the operator launched tiered free data bundles designed to reward both prepaid and contract customers across the UAE. The headline promotion features complimentary bundles of 50 gigabytes for qualifying accounts, alongside daily micro-grants distributed through interactive reward games.
Subscribers can visit the official Etisalat by e& website to verify active promotional deals and loyalty rewards as of October 2026. Because allocation volumes vary according to account tier and tenure, checking your individualized profile reveals whether you receive a single lump-sum grant or a multi-day data boost.
Prepaid Wasel Promotional Allocations
Prepaid Wasel customers typically receive flexible data bonuses tied to quick in-app claims or minor balance top-ups. Free allotments for prepaid lines range from 1 gigabyte to 10 gigabytes as of October 2026, often packaged with a strict 24-hour to 72-hour usage window.
Postpaid Freedom Plan Jubilee Grants
Subscribers on postpaid Freedom, Emirati, or legacy unlimited plans are eligible for the flagship 50-gigabyte anniversary bundle as of October 2026. This data grant is provisioned as a one-time bonus added directly to your monthly cycle without altering recurring subscription fees.
Eligibility Criteria for UAE Prepaid and Postpaid Accounts
Not every SIM card automatically qualifies for anniversary giveaways. To prevent automated harvesting and comply with national telecommunications standards, lines must hold active operational status with up-to-date identification registered in the operator database as of October 2026.
Under guidelines established by the TDRA, all national mobile promotions must provide transparent validity terms and zero hidden recurring fees as of October 2026. Accounts with overdue bills, temporary suspensions, or expired residency documentation must regularize their status before promotional bonuses become accessible.
Active prepaid Wasel or postpaid consumer voice plan as of October 2026

How to Claim Your Free Anniversary Data Step by Step
Claiming your free data takes less than two minutes once you know where the operator hides the promotional links. The easiest and fastest avenue is through the mobile management application, which immediately links the free gigabytes to your phone number as of October 2026.
Information published on the federal UAE Government Portal highlights ongoing investments in high-speed 5G mobile networks across all seven emirates as of October 2026. Once activated, the anniversary data connects automatically to standard high-speed 5G network channels without requiring configuration changes.

Comparing Claim Methods, Data Sizes, and Expiry Timelines
If you do not have cellular data or Wi-Fi to open the mobile application, alternate activation paths exist via USSD dialer shortcodes and SMS commands. Each claim method features distinct bundle volumes and validity windows as of October 2026.
Official promotional campaigns announced on the Etisalat UAE Instagram account direct subscribers exclusively to in-app reward wheels and authorized USSD menus as of October 2026. The table below outlines how claim avenues compare across allocation size, access channel, and active duration.
Method | Bundle Size | Validity |
|---|---|---|
Mobile App | 50 GB bonus | 7 days active |
USSD Code | 10 GB bundle | 3 days active |
SMS Keyword | 5 GB bundle | 24 hours active |
How to Track Your Balance and Avoid Surprise Billing
One critical detail caught my attention while using the promotional allowance: expiry timing. Promotional anniversary data does not roll over into subsequent billing cycles as of October 2026. Any unused gigabytes vanish precisely when the validity countdown reaches zero.
To check your remaining balance, dial the USSD command Star 170 Hash or open the My Etisalat app data widget. The operator consumes promotional anniversary data first before touching your regular monthly allowance as of October 2026. Once the free allotment finishes, data consumption shifts back to your paid plan automatically.
Keep your mobile data paused once the bonus expires so your line never defaults to standard pay-as-you-go rates.
Scam Alerts and Phishing Messages Impersonating the Promotion
Major promotional events frequently attract cyber criminals who send deceptive SMS and WhatsApp messages claiming to offer 500 gigabytes of free data or cash prizes. These fraudulent messages contain external web links designed to steal banking credentials or personal identity information as of October 2026.
Suspicious text messages should be reported immediately to the Dubai Police through their dedicated e-crime reporting platform as of October 2026. Legitimate Etisalat promotions never request credit card details, CVV security codes, or one-time verification passwords to unlock free data gifts.
Customers needing in-person assistance can check Google Maps for navigation to the flagship customer service store in Dubai Mall as of October 2026. Visiting an official retail outlet or sticking strictly to the official smartphone app guarantees your mobile account remains secure while enjoying anniversary perks.
FAQ
Can tourist SIM cards claim the Etisalat 50th anniversary free data offer?
Visitor and tourist lines on temporary packages are typically excluded from multi-day anniversary data grants as of October 2026. However, tourists who activate new lines at Dubai airports occasionally receive welcome bundles through the My Etisalat app under separate transient promotions.
What happens if I use all my free anniversary data before validity expires?
Once your anniversary allocation is exhausted, mobile browsing seamlessly switches back to your standard monthly data bundle as of October 2026. If you have no active data allowance remaining, enable the data-block feature to prevent out-of-bundle charges of AED 0.30 per megabyte.
Can I transfer Etisalat anniversary free data to another number?
Promotional anniversary data bonuses cannot be transferred via the Etisalat balance transfer service as of October 2026. The free gigabytes are tied strictly to the individual registered line that claimed the offer.
Does the 50th anniversary data bundle work outside the UAE?
Free anniversary data bundles are restricted exclusively to domestic UAE cellular networks and cannot be utilized while roaming abroad as of October 2026. Activating international data roaming requires separate roaming passes purchased prior to travel.
