flydubai Just Added 11 Summer 2026 Destinations — Your Smart Guide to Escaping the Dubai Heat
It's barely past dawn at Terminal 2 and the departures board already reads like a summer wish-list — Corfu, Santorini, Bodrum, Batumi. Outside, the tarmac is shimmering and it isn't even 7am, which is precisely the point: when Dubai turns into a furnace, the smartest residents start plotting their escape, and flydubai has just made that a great deal easier.
The Dubai-based carrier has rolled out its seasonal summer 2026 programme with 11 holiday destinations, spanning Greece, Turkey, Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, Georgia and Egypt. Most launched right at the start of the Eid Al Adha window, with a second wave starting in late June. Here is the full list, when each route starts, and how I'd actually use it to plan a summer break.
The 11 new summer routes at a glance
As reported by Time Out Dubai and confirmed on flydubai, the seasonal network kicked off on Saturday 23 May. The destinations and their start dates are:
Corfu, Greece — from 23 May, twice weekly — the lush, green Ionian island.
Tivat, Montenegro — from 23 May, four times weekly — gateway to the Bay of Kotor.
Antalya, Turkey — from 23 May, five times weekly — Mediterranean beaches and old-town charm.
Bodrum, Turkey — from 23 May, daily — Aegean marinas and whitewashed hillsides.
Olbia, Italy — from 23 May, up to three times weekly — your doorway to Sardinia's Costa Smeralda.
Dubrovnik, Croatia — from 24 May, three times weekly — the walled 'Pearl of the Adriatic'.
Mykonos, Greece — from 24 May, four times weekly — the Cyclades' party-and-beach icon.
Santorini, Greece — from 24 May, twice weekly — the caldera sunsets everyone chases.
El Alamein, Egypt — from 20 June, five times weekly — Egypt's buzzy North Coast beach scene.
Batumi, Georgia — from 26 June, four times weekly — Black Sea coast and cool green mountains.
Trabzon, Turkey — from 26 June, daily — misty highlands and the famous Sumela Monastery.
Greece is the headline act
Four of the eleven routes serve Greece, and it's easy to see why. Santorini delivers the postcard caldera and those famous Oia sunsets; Mykonos brings the beach-club energy and whitewashed lanes; and Corfu offers a greener, gentler, family-friendly alternative in the Ionian. With direct seasonal flights, a long-weekend island escape from Dubai suddenly becomes genuinely doable rather than a two-connection ordeal.
Turkey, the Adriatic and an Egyptian beach surprise
Turkey gets three routes — Antalya for resort beaches, Bodrum for Aegean marinas, and Trabzon for the cooler, green Black Sea highlands. Croatia's Dubrovnik and Montenegro's Tivat cover the Adriatic, while Olbia opens up Sardinia. The most intriguing newcomer, though, is El Alamein on Egypt's North Coast — a short, sun-soaked beach hop that most UAE travellers have never had a direct option for until now.
How to book it smart
Seasonal routes are exactly that — they run only through the warmer months, typically into September, and frequencies are lighter than year-round services. A few things I always do before booking a seasonal flydubai trip:
Book early for Eid and school holidays — The first wave launched specifically to catch the Eid Al Adha break, so peak-date seats and fares move fast.
Watch the frequency, not just the route — A twice-weekly route (Corfu, Santorini) locks you into specific days — plan your leave around the schedule, not the other way round.
Check the bag and seat add-ons — flydubai is largely add-on based, so factor checked baggage and seat selection into the true fare before you compare.
Mind the visas — Greece, Italy, Croatia and Montenegro mean Schengen or Schengen-style rules for many residents; Georgia, Turkey and Egypt are generally easier — sort paperwork before you book non-refundable fares.
Set a fare alert — Seasonal launch fares often dip in the first weeks; a price alert can save a useful chunk.
My rule for summer flying out of Dubai: I book the outbound for the very first morning slot I can get. You beat the airport crush, you land with the whole day ahead of you, and you squeeze an extra evening out of a short island break — worth far more than the early alarm costs you.
