Updated: May 30

Eid Al Adha has stretched the calendar into a proper long weekend — and Dubai is not running quiet. Between last-chance outdoor seasons, redeemable pool days, and late-night Global Village finales, this is the window to stack plans before June heat pushes everything indoors.

I originally wrote this for 22–24 May; updated 30 May 2026 with what still matters for the final May days — Global Village, Miracle Garden, and Safari Park all close 31 May.

Last outdoor hurrah — 31 May closures

See our full outdoor attractions closing guide — Global Village Season 30 finale, Miracle Garden Season 14, and Dubai Safari Park bundle offers are all Sunday 31 May full stops.

Pool and beach days

For photogenic decks, read Instagrammable pools this weekend — redeemable passes from What's On still beat paying twice at the gate.

Dining and brunch energy

Pizza Express Live's brunch quiz nights and Bâoli Sunday brunches still suit groups; pair with our May restaurant bookings guide if you want a new reservation.

  • Saturday 31 May — Prioritise outdoor attractions before 9pm closings — traffic peaks after Iftar hours.

  • Indoor backup — Ski Dubai, Mall of the Emirates cinema, or our indoor summer list if heat wins.

  • Book transit — Metro to Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall station for downtown stacks; RTA nol pass deals may still apply.

Brunch and late-night dining

What's On still lists Eid brunch extensions at hotel restaurants — book by Thursday for Friday–Sunday slots. For a calmer meal, Dubai Festival City Mall waterfront dining avoids Downtown parking wars. Our 18 new brunches guide has longer-lead reservations if you are planning next weekend already.

When every group chat asks 'what are we doing?', pick one anchor — pool, garden, or Global Village — then add food; three anchors in one day is how you miss the finale fireworks.

Global Village, Miracle Garden, and Safari Park — Sunday finale

Global Village Season 30 closes 31 May 2026 — arrive before 8pm if you want the full country pavilions and fireworks without the exit crush. Dubai Miracle Garden Season 14 ends the same day; buy tickets online to skip the gate queue. Dubai Safari Park is bundling family offers through the weekend — see our outdoor-closures post for parking and last-entry times.

If you already missed Miracle Garden, pivot to Mall of the Emirates cinema or Ski Dubai for indoor air-con — link in our indoor summer guide.

Getting around — RTA and Dubai Mall

Gulf News flagged RTA advisories for Dubai Mall Eid crowds — take the Red Line to Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall station when possible, or park at Mall of the Emirates and Metro in. Friday–Sunday evenings around Downtown see 45-minute Uber surges; book return rides before fireworks end.

Family stacks that still work

Young kids: Dubai Safari morning feedings plus an early Global Village pavilion loop. Teens: pool day at Address or West Beach, then Dubai Mall cinema. Couples: Tapasake sunset then Miracle Garden golden hour if you have not visited this season. Seniors: air-conditioned mall walks and early Global Village entry before heat peaks.

Global Village: Global Village Dubai; Miracle Garden: Dubai Miracle Garden.

Weather and what to pack

Dubai highs are already touching the high thirties Celsius — carry water, hats, and light linen. Outdoor attractions close earlier as summer protocols kick in; indoor backups are not optional if you are with toddlers. Prayer-time parking around mosques can add twenty minutes near older neighbourhoods on Friday afternoon — plan departures before 1pm or after 4pm.

Sunday 31 May is the hard stop for outdoor seasons — if you only have one free day, choose either Miracle Garden morning plus Global Village night, or a pool-and-brunch stack; do not attempt both with Downtown dinner unless you enjoy sitting in traffic. Monday 1 June shifts many residents toward indoor routines — bookmark our summer changes guide before the heat wave.

Download venue apps (Global Village, Miracle Garden) for live queue times. Carry a light jacket for air-conditioned malls after outdoor evenings. If you are fasting, confirm restaurant hours — many venues extend service post-maghrib during Eid.
